Guy Reginald Stratton signature
On this day in 1915, Guy Reginald Stratton enlisted in Kingston, Ontario. He was born in Deseronto on April 21st, 1899, the son of Walter C. Stratton and Emma (née Abrams). He claimed to have been born in 1897.

Stratton was described as five feet eight inches tall, with a dark complexion, brown eyes and dark hair. He enlisted in the Canadian Field Artillery with the regimental number 304053. His service record shows that he arrived in England on the SS Missanabie on December 29th, 1915. On May 17th, 1916 he arrived in France and joined the 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column.

Guy was killed in action just 17 days later.
